Restore Health and Spirit before Death! Monk Near Death Experience
Monk Near Death Experience is a passive skill that unlocks at level 58.
Near Death Experience restores the Monk to 35% of their maximum Life and 35% Spirit whenever they receive fatal damage. This effect can only trigger once every 90 seconds.
This can be a useful passive to have in player versus player or higher difficulty modes because it gives the monk a chance to escape or heal up when caught in a bad situation.

Complementary Skills:
Cause of its 90 second cooldown it is best to use Near Death Experience with another defensive skill. If done properly this can make the Monk a lot harder to kill in player versus player.
Serenity – Peaceful Repose - This Defensive skill absorbs all of the monk’s damage and makes them immune to all control impairing status effects for 3 seconds.
The Peaceful Repose rune also causes Serenity to heal you for 6202 to 7752 Life. When Near Death Experience kicks in, the Monk can use Serenity to protect themselves for three seconds while they get themselves out of harm’s way.
Pacifism - This passive skill reduces the damage taken by the Monk by 75% whenever they are under the effects of Stun, Fear, or Charm.
This gives the Diablo 3 Monk a decent chance to survive in player versus player or against boss monsters when these status effects are used against them. Using this skill with Near Death Experience can buy the Monk just enough time to stay alive and escape.
One With Everything - This passive skill raises all of the Monk’s elemental resistances to equal to that of their highest elemental resistance. This is another passive useful in player versus player or against boss monsters where the foes tend to use elemental based attacks against the Monk.
It is a great survivability skill that complements Monk Near Death Experience well in dangerous situations.
