Blizzard Designers and Engineers choose their Build and Play style. An Inside look.

In a recent post by pcgamer, we are told the tales of the developers playing their chosen classes. They all have their own preferred builds and gameplay style. The story made a selection of five staff members involved in the development of Diablo 3 and their characters. Each one of the five interviewed Blizzard insiders plays a different class and agreed to share their experiences with the game.
The interview had:
- Zaven Haroutunian, Associate Level Designer presenting his Wizard
- Henry Ho, Senior Software Engineer with his Witch Doctor
- Ken Lamb, Software Engineer with his Barbarian
- Stephen Wong, Senior Software Engineer with his Monk
- Matthew Ryan, 3D Artist with his Demon Hunter
All of them have level 60 characters and play in Inferno. The builds they revealed managed to work for them and helped with the progression. Each one of them took the time to explain some of their favorite skills and how they helped their characters. From the community’s perspective it is always great to see developers stepping down and presenting themselves as fans of the title. In the end, it is normal for them to enjoy the result of their own work.
Unfortunately, they did not reveal the names of their characters. But most likely, players have found them in random open games and they did not even know. Who would suspect that the player in that game session is actually one of the creators of Diablo 3? Without a doubt there are many other developers that play the game as well on a frequent basis. Indeed a creator should always be proud of his work.
