Blizzard introduced enrage timers for Diablo 3. The Breakdown.

Several patches ago, Blizzard introduced enrage timers (similar to WOW) to prevent undergeared players from easily slaying endgame bosses. Unfortunately, the exact timers were never revealed. Players were left guessing and finding out the hard way, how long it takes for a boss to enrage. These timer also require the player to have a certain DPS to beat the enrage. A few players managed to put together the list for almost all the bosses in the game. Some still do not have enrage timers. Here is a quick break down of the list:

Monsters Without Enrage Timers:

Skeleton King, Queen Araneae, Magda, Azmodan, Iskatu, Izual, Diablo

Monsters With Enrage Timers:

Act 1: 
- The Butcher. He has 3 minutes until he enrages. After 3 minutes all the floor will be on fire. The required DPS to beat the timer is 8k.

Act 2: 
- Zoltun Kulle. He enrages after 3 minutes after which he will teleport and kill the player with one blow. DPS required is 13k.
- Belial. After 3 minutes he starts casting meteors more frequently on the entire floor. To prevent the enrage timer, 15k DPS is needed.

Act 3:
- Ghom. After 4 minutes he begins to spawn 2 gas clouds instead of one at shorter time intervals. To beat him in less than 4 minutes, 17k DPS is required.
- Siegebreaker. If not killed within 4 minutes, he will put a Damage over Time spell on the player that increases in damage. Required DPS must be at least 17k.
- Cydaea. She will spawn spiderlings more frequently after 4 minutes. 17k DPS is enough to beat the timer.

Act 4:
- Rakanoth. He charges continuously after 3 minutes. There is no specified DPS required for this encounter.

This is the complete list so far with the enrage times for most of the bosses. The list might be subject to change as Blizzard will most likely tempter with the rest of bosses without warning. The game developer did not announce yet any intention to add additional changes.
