Builds – Barbarian Solo Farm Inferno Act 1 – Wrath of the Kiter

Level Required - 60

Lets have a look at a build we call the “Wrath of the Kiter” Barbarian Act 1 Farming build.
Before moving to Act 2, a lot of time needs to be dedicated to farming. All players spend a lot of time in Act 1 and a decent build can make the difference between effective farming and time wasting.
The following build does not have a lot of crowd control capabilities but it has a decent balance between survivability and damage output.
Let’s see what skills make this build viable for Inferno Act 1:
Left Mouse Button – Frenzy with the Maniac rune
Right Mouse Button – Ignore Pain with the Ignorance is Bliss rune
…
Action Key 1 – Revenge with the Provocation rune
Action Key 2 – Furious Charge with the Dreadnought rune
Action Key 3 – War Cry with the Impunity rune
Action Key 4 – Wrath of the Berserker with the Insanity rune
…
Passive Skill 1: Superstition
Passive Skill 2: Juggernaut
Passive Skill 3: Berserker Rage

The Mechanics Of The Build
There are not many Fury consuming abilities in the build.
This makes Berserker Rage a very good pick as a passive. Basically, it will make the 25% damage increase available all the time. The main damage dealer, Frenzy with the Maniac rune gives another 20% damage bonus as long as there are 5 stacks.
This sums up to a total of 45% damage increase which is quite decent. Unfortunately, there are no crowd control abilities in the build. This calls for the Enchantress follower to fill this gap by converting enemies or shape shifting them into powerless chickens.
For survivability, Furious Charge and Superstition should provide a moderate amount of damage reduction and HP regain. When fighting multiple monsters, Furious Charge can literally restore the Barbarian to full health. Superstation on the other hand offers a decent 20% damage mitigation.
However, this is not enough and a lot of resistances should be added to the mix. To make it a decent combination, at least 200 resist to all is required. This number receives a boost from the Impunity rune of the War Cry skill that can increase the resistances by 50%. Ignore Pain is mainly in the build to avoid dying against elite packs or bosses.
For more difficult situations when taking on champion and elite packs, Wrath of the Berserker and Ignore Pain should always be used with some kiting. Due to the nature of the Barbarian, he will have to soak up some very hard hits but try and conserve life with proper kiting.
From the equipment perspective, the build requires a shield and a one hand weapon. Preferably, some life on hit should be present on the weapon and rings.
Since we will be using Frenzy, the attack speed should be high enough to go over 2 hits per second.
This leaves room for some life on gain items and ideally, the weapon and the rings should have around 1000 or more HP points per hit in total. Some additional attack speed is also good to have. However, a ring that has both life on hit and attack speed can be very expensive but if gold is not a problem, go for it.
