In the following build we call “Horrific Poison Darter“. We will have a look at how viable it can be and what variations can be used for co-op play and crowd control.

The Mechanics of the Build
The main damage dealer will be Poison Dart while Grasp of Dead will serve as a mana dump. We will also need some crowd control skills and some survivability if we were to strive for progression in Inferno. Spirit Walk combined with Spirit Vessel gives the Witch Doctor the ability to walk around the battlefield freely.
Additionally, monsters can be kept at a distant range with the aid of Wall of Zombies and Horrify, while Hex makes the enemies completely harmless by turning them into chickens.
This particular build is great for co-op gameplay mainly due to the crowd control capabilities of the setup making the class extremely useful when combined with another ranged DPS. In terms of survivability, we can also mention the importance of Spirit Vessel.
It practically gives the character a self-resurrection ability every 90 seconds. Despite the fact that there is no visible timer for it, it is still a great skill to have when playing in co-op and solo.
Odds are that the character will die more often when playing with others due to the increased monster damage. In this scenario, the Spirit Vessel passive will prove its usefulness when everyone else dies and the Witch Doctor comes back from the dead to finish the fight.
