Huge Damage Increase for the Rocket Happy Demon Hunter. with Demon Hunter Ballistics
The Demon Hunter Ballistics skill seems to be focused on a certain aspect of the Demon Hunter Mechanic.
Ballistics becomes available for all players of level 55 and above.
When used, the Demon Hunter Ballistics increases the damage of rockets gaining a 50% increase.
By default, there are no skills that shoot rockets. Only certain runes can convert arrows to rockets.The affected spells are:
- Rapid Fire used with the level 33 Fire Support rune
- Strafe used with the level 43 Rocket Storm rune
- Sentry with the level 30 Spitfire Turret rune
- Multishot used with the level 58 Arsenal rune
- Cluster Arrow used with the level 41 Shooting Stars rune
At level 55, when Ballistics skill becomes available, only the Arsenal rune will still be locked. In fact it is quite irrelevant when the rocket runes are unlocked since the skill itself requires such a high character level.
However, the player can use the other skills until level 58 when that one becomes unlocked as well. These skills to seem like a viable combination for PVE situations. Most Demon Hunters will probably use them anyway and the 50% damage bonus could make it worth spending a passive slot.
In PVP encounters, skills like Strafe will most likely be used especially for their movement bonus.
Adding a damage bonus will make it even more useful. The only debatable problem about this skill is its rune requirement for the skills. All other passives do not have such restrictions making hundreds of combinations possible. Ballistics do not offer such a luxury and limits the player.
