Diablo 3 Character Profiles Coming Soon!

Diablo 3 Character Profiles

Profiles is a new feature that Blizzard will be adding to their official site shortly after they launch Diablo III.

Profiles will allow players to view and share their character information, giving them a venue to earn bragging rights as they play. They will also be able to look up other heroes so they can study their builds and equipment.

Shortly after the launch of Diablo III, we’ll be adding a new feature to our official site. Profiles will let you review all of your character information at a glance, share it with others, and check out the accomplishments of the other heroes out there.

You’ll be able to look at your heroes (or your friends’ heroes) from any page on the Diablo III site through our personalized menu. If you’re curious about the exploits of your fellow forum posters, it’ll be a simple matter to click over to their profiles and feel envious of their gear or how long they’ve managed to keep their Hardcore characters alive.

Our first profiles release will include these two elements:

  • career tab that displays all of your heroes, how far you’ve progressed in the Diablo III campaign, how many foes you’ve slain, the names and playtimes of your fallen Hardcore heroes, and more.
  • heroes tab that shows off your equipment (including dyes, socketed gems, all equipment bonuses, etc.), your attributes and skills, the skills and equipment of your Followers, and more. Full read here.

Profiles can be accessed from anywhere on the site through a personalized menu, where players can view their own heroes as well as that of their friends’. Forum users will also be able to view their fellow posters’ profiles by simply clicking on them, making it easier to check who among them really know the stuff that they are talking about.

The first release of the Profiles feature will include two tabs, namely the career tab and the heroes tab. The career tab will show information about a player including all of their current heroes, their progress into the game’s different campaign modes, and the number and type of enemies that they had killed. It will also show all of the player’s heroes that were slain in Hardcore mode, and how long they were able to last.

Have you ever wanted to know how many hapless foes your friends have slain, or what jewels they socket their breastplates with? Or maybe you simply wonder incredulously just how many hours they had sink into gaming each week in order to get all that sweet sweet loot? Well, Blizzard is now planning to answer these questions for you. The official site’s new Profiles feature, debuting “soon” after Diablo 3′s release this Tuesday, will allow players to keep tabs on one another’s in-game accomplishments. Full read here.

The heroes tab will show information about the player’s hero such as their attributes, skills, and a detailed view of their equipment including the gems they had socketed, the dyes they have used, and even their equipment bonuses. The heroes tab will show the skills and equipment of the player’s Followers as well.

Other than those two tabs, Blizzard is also planning to add an artisan tab as well as an achievement tab, which will show a player’s artisan levels and the achievements they have earned respectively. Blizzard will also be welcoming suggestions and comments about the Profiles feature on their official forums.
