Diablo 3 Storyline
Map of Diablo 3:
Main Diablo 3 Storyline
The story takes place 20 years after Diablo 2 (The Lord of Destruction);
20 years have passed since Diablo, Mephisto, Baal and demonic denizens wandered the world of sanctuary in a viscous rampage intended to shackle humanity into unholy slavery. Those who directly battled the prime evils still have burning soul wounds and possess faded memories.
It is only when Deckard Cain returns to the ruins of Tristram’s Cathedral to seek clues, that evil is stirred and a comet from the heavens strikes the very ground where Diablo once entered the world. It carries a dark omen and this calls for the heroes of the sanctuary to defend the mortal earth once again.
Most of the heroes from Diablo 2 are either dead or insane. Though, the Barbarian in Diablo 3 is still the same one from the previous Diablo 2 series only that he is 20 years older.
