Diablo 3 User Posts A Dupe Method

It seems that hackers will stop at nothing to obtain a quick profit. A couple of days ago some users posted on various Diablo 3 forums a new method to dupe items. Some screenshots were also captured as proof that the items can be duplicated.

The method was also posted on the Blizzard forums by one of their users. Even if it is against their terms, the user meant to force Blizzard to take action and fix this problem as it is severely affecting the economy. His thread was immediately deleted as it is against battle.net’s TOS to post such abusive exploits. Right now, there are no clear instructions on how it can be done but it is true that the hackers are using it right now. The method was discovered some time ago after patch 1.0.3. However, very few people know about its existence. Things became hectic only when the dupers started to push their luck and posted many items that were even seen listed on the AH by players during live stream sessions.

Right now, the hackers attempt to dupe expensive items and sell them for a couple million gold. The ones that did manage to see them, reported that the items were immediately sold. Truth be told who wouldn’t rush and buy a 1K DPS weapon for 2 million gold? All these listings only cause items to depreciate. They might lead to a market but Blizzard can prevent this by fixing the dupe exploit. So far no action has been taken and the hackers still sell the duplicated items freely. These items also influence the RMAH. Let us not forget that those items are created out of thin air and can be sold for a few dollars each. If Blizz doesn’t act soon, these hackers will obtain real money for illicit items.
