Monk Build Solo Inferno Patch 1.0.4 – AoE Paragon Farming
Required Level: 60
Build Thanks To: HappyJacksChannel
The race to level 100 has begun as more and more players started to develop special builds to make it easier. Reaching the Paragon Level will take a lot of time and AoE damage is the key for this solo Inferno Monk build. Like any other experience grind, survivability is very important. To make it work, we will have to compromise on DPS and go for a one hand weapon and a shield.
On the other hand, the DPS loss by not using a two hand weapon is not that great to count. Still, the shield will offer a significant survivability boost by adding some extra damage mitigation. The setup itself works best when dealing with high concentration of mobs, making Act 3 Inferno the best one to farm. Before we go into some details we will need to look at the skills.
Here is a quick breakdown of the build:
Left Mouse Button – Fists of Thunder with the Quickening rune
Right Mouse Button – Cyclone Strike with the Wall of Wind rune
…
Action Key 1 – Sweeping Wind with the Cyclone rune
Action Key 2 – Serenity with the Peaceful Repose rune
Action Key 3 – Seven-Sided Strike with the Fulminating Onslaught rune
Action Key 4 – Mantra of Evasion with the Backlash rune
…
Passive Skill 1: Seize the Initiative
Passive Skill 2: Transcendence
Passive Skill 3: Sixth Sense

The Mechanics Of The Build:
Fists of Thunder will be used to stack up on Spirit. With the Quickening and a decent attack speed from a dagger or fist weapon, Spirit regen should be done much faster. To make the most out of it, a decent critical hit chance would be required. Without a proper regen, the Monk will become Spirit starved since Cyclone Strike and Sweeping Wind cost a lot to cast. Also, these two skills will be required in almost all situations when dealing with grouped monsters. Since this is a Inferno Paragon farming.
From the gameplay perspective, Mantra of Evasion should always be up. Whenever the player engages a pack, Sweeping Wind should be used right from the stat to build up the stacks. Cyclone Strike will be used to get the mobs closer together. When they are packed nicely in a small area, Seven-Sided Strike should be used. The rune will cause each hit to explode for 254% weapon damage in a 7 yard range. This means all the mobs will get hit by the skill.
Survivability also plays an important role in this build. The skills themselves will provide a passive 35% dodge. Next we have some dodge bonus from the Sixth Sense passive. A 30% crit chance will give almost 10% dodge bonus. Last but not least, dexterity adds dodge as well. The gear itself should be balanced. Resist to all needs to be around 700 hundred. The helm will be socketed with a Ruby for some extra experience. It wouldn’t hurt to have some magic find as well since this is an Inferno build and some money can be made by selling the rares that will drop. With this Monk build Inferno Paragon farming should be a bit easier.
