Dodge out of Danger or Rush into an Enemy causing Damage with Monk Dashing Strike

Monk Dashing StrikeDashing Strike is a technique learned by the Monk at level 9, enabling him to run at an incredible speed to a targeted enemy or location, dealing 100% weapon damage to an enemy, and rooting them for 1 second.

It costs 25 Spirit to activate and spammable, perfect for chasing enemies on the run.

This skill is more suitable in Battle Arena, chasing down those annoying ranged spellcasters, rooting them and eventually killing them with the relentless combo skills the Monk possess.

For monster hunting, Dashing Strike is more of an opener; charging to them, knocking one monster, then, with quick hands and quick in-game reflexes, unleash the devastating skills that would finish them off before they know what hit them.

Monk Dashing Strike gameplay with commentary

The skill benefits with its synergy to the Monk Passive Skill Resolve, unlocked at level 10, wherein every damage you deal may cripple your enemies attack capabilities, reducing their damage by 20% for a short duration of 2.5 seconds.

Monk Dashing Strike Synergies

Dashing Strike also benefits from runestones, giving devastating effects that would give the skill even more teeth.

With The Way of the Falling Star rune effect, the Monk’s movement speed will increase by 25% for 3 seconds if he hits an enemy with the Dashing Strike. It’s a good effect for both chasing a fast enemy or escaping from swarms.

Flying Sidekick gives the Monk a 60% chance of stunning the enemy for 1.5 seconds. Again, this is more for chasing the enemy, and with the stun effect, the enemy hit with it will probably be dead before it can even recover.

Quicksilver will reduce the Spirit cost of Dashing Strike to 10, allowing the Monk to use it twice as much, saving him from various situations with less cost involved, but still with the same effects, increasing its effectiveness.

Soaring Skull is also a great rune effect for escaping, since all enemies within the path of the Dashing Strike are affected by slow, reducing their movement speed by 60% for 2 seconds, which is more than enough time for the Monk to escape.

Blinding Speed will also give the Monk 20% more chance of Dodge for the next 3 seconds. This rune effect is primarily defensive but still can be used offensively.
