Witch Doctor Plague of Toads Calls Forth Acidic Death Dealing Toads!

Witch Doctor Plague ToadsWitch Doctor Plague of Toads is a primary skill, calling forth a pack of poisonous toads, hopping their way towards the Witch Doctor’s enemies and exploding in an acidic blast, dealing 130% poison damage.

It costs 34 mana to cast and is unlocked at level 11.

The toads scatter out from the Witch Doctor, spreading out semi-randomly, that’s why the Plague of Toad’s accuracy is volatile.

So the skill is best spammed, sending out eight or nine waves of toads in rapid succession especially against a large number of attackers.

It’s really effective if the Witch Doctor is swarmed with enemies closely packed together or huge enemies moving slowly, increasing their chance of getting hit multiple times.

Skill Design thanks to Diablowiki:

scattering out from the Witch Doctor and spreading out semi-randomly. The accuracy of this skill with just one cast is suspect. It’s best spammed, cast six or eight times in rapid succession against a large number of attackers, especially if the enemies are large or are moving around erratically, which makes them more likely to encounter multiple toads.

Runestones will change the strategy for the Plague of Toads, giving out more devastating effects that will revolutionize the skill.

Witch Doctor Plague of Toads Runestones

Explosive Toads mutates the frogs into Fire Bullfrogs, exploding with an increased damage of 169% Fire damage.

This gives an edge to the skill, especially over enemies with high poison resistance, and the increased damage of this skill will just annoy the hell out of your enemies once you start spamming it.

Rain of Toads changes the mechanics of the skill, since the Witch Doctor makes toads fall out of the sky instead, dealing 130% weapon damage over 2 seconds in a targeted area.

Toad of Hugeness will make the skill even more hilarious by summoning a giant toad instead, swallowing enemies whole for 5 seconds, digesting them for 20% weapon damage converted into physical.

As a downside, it also adds an additional 5 seconds cooldown to your Plague of Toads skill. Also, Toad of Hugeness is affected by the Witch Doctor’s Attacks per second, and the stats above are set only if the Attacks Per second is set into 1.

If you think that the plague stated in the Bible is far-fetched, Toad Affinity will surely disenchant you. Since this effect will remove the mana cost of the Plague of Toads, so you can spam it all you want, or at least until your processor can’t take it anymore.

Addling Toads will generate chaos on the battlefield, mutating the toads into yellow frogs that deal 130% weapon damage and gives a 15% chance of causing Confuse to enemies for 4 seconds.
