Wizard Conflagration Sets your Enemy Ablaze just a Little Longer.

Wizard Conflagration can be found in the Wizard’s passive skill tree.

Wizard ConflagrationWizard Conflagration skill is unlocked for all characters of level 34 and above.

In the initial Diablo 3 beta the skill was available at level 21 to make it available sooner to the payers for testing purposes.

Its main focus is fire damage enhancement. Whenever the Diablo 3 Wizard casts fire damaging spells, the target gets incinerated and receives 10% additional damage for 3 seconds.

The timer for this debuff might not sound like much but it is more than enough for a skilled player. Combined with Meteor and Hydra, the debuff will never run out, making the target susceptible for a 10% incoming damage increase for much more than 3 seconds.

Wizard-Conflagration

There are some players that disapprove of this skill. The main issue is the fact that there are very few fire spells.

Sacrificing a passive skill slot for only two spells might seem like a waste for many but the truth is this skill can prove to be extremely useful in certain situations. There are some leveling builds that include this skill but this is not the most lucrative way to use Conflagration.

It is obvious that the skill was designed to be used in co-op play.

It should mainly be used in difficult combat situations when dealing with mobs that have a high hit point base such as bosses. Combined with Meteor and Hydra, the damage boost becomes almost a passive skill on its own. It is great for PVE co-op situations but it is almost useless for solo PVE and PVP combat encounters.

Most solo PVE encounters will not last long enough to benefit from Conflagration and PVP situations rely too much on high damage dealing strikes to make such a skill useful.
