Wizard Galvanizing Ward Blesses You with Health As Your Wear your Armor Spell.

Wizard Galvanizing WardWizard Galvanizing Ward is the only skill that has a life regenerating attribute.

Before reaching its current form, the attributes and level requirements have been changed multiple times in the beta. In its current state, the skill is unlocked at level 40.

Its attributes add a life regenerating effect and increase the duration of armor spells. The duration is raised by 120 seconds and the life regen component heals the Diablo 3 Wizard for 310.1 Life each second.

With this bonus, Armor skills reach a total duration of 240 seconds.

This seems to be a useless bonus. A good player will keep up his Armor even if its duration is only two minutes. The health regenerating effect on the other hand seems more appealing.

However, the only situation in which such a bonus is useful is on Inferno and Hardcore difficulties. For a better survivability it can be combined with Energy Armor for a 65% armor increase.

With this armor bonus and the heal effect, survivability in difficult situations increases dramatically.

In Inferno, the monster levels increase to such a level that the weakest one is level 61 while the player level cap is 60. They deal high amounts of damage and have huge hit boxes, so having that extra healing buff will be a savior.

When used in PVP, Galvanizing Ward does not bring any true advantage to battle. The two minutes duration of the Armor spells is enough on its own and the health regenerating bonus is not very significant. This effect can be replaced successfully with the randomly generating health orbs.

There are other passive skills that would bring more value to a Wizard PVP build.
